Quality upgrades for the Linn Sondek LP12

 

Music is pure emotion and for many hi-fi enthusiasts, few turntables can approach the LP12 for sheer musicality and involvement. Indeed, after more than thirty successful years in production the LP12 has recently been updated by Linn with a number of components including, in no particular order: the Ekos SE tone-arm, Keel one piece sub-chassis, Radikal DC motor &power supply, Urika phono stage  and the Trampolin 2 base. These superb but costly modifications have been universally acclaimed as helping to restore the LP12 once more to the top of the podium as one of the worlds great turntables.

However, Analogue innovation realises that many have come to Sondek ownership via a secondhand purchase, because  achieving the "best" as a new purchase is simply unattainable  due to the high cost. Our aim is to provide alternative high specification upgrade components for the Linn Sondek, enabling audio enthusiasts to achieve a very large proportion of the improvements realised by Linn upgrades: but importantly our upgrades are available at a  fraction of the cost. Additionally you the customer, will receive a far more personalised service where you will conduct your discussion etc with the manufacturer and not just a dealer.

We are able to offer our upgrades at a lower cost as we do not maintain a dealer network nor do we have a large workforce. Some say this is a disadvantage as the prospective customer cannot hear our Sole sub-chassis in action prior to purchase;  therefore we offer you a money back promise where you try the Sole sub-chassis out in your turntable and if you do not feel the upgrade is worthy, you can return it after 60 days for a refund! * Conditions apply*

Fitting our upgrades  and setting up the LP12 is not a difficult process  - we provide a 15 page guide and offer friendly support via e-mail and telephone to those who feel they need it.   Many of our customers have simply followed the guide and have amazed themselves at how simple a task it is to improve their LP12 at such a realistic price!

Linn would have you believe that only their trained dealers can set up this tutntable as Linn intended.   We do not necessarily agree with this! However, a degree of mechanical sympathy is required and much patience!  Do not take it lightly,  but with our helpful guide and support via e-mail and telephone we can guide you successfully through any issues you may have with your beloved LP12.  At the end of the day the LP12 is a very simple mechanical device which reponds wonderfully to careful set up and  siting.
