For many audio enthusiasts, few turntables approach the Linn Sondek LP12 for sheer musicality and involvement. Indeed, after more than thirty successful years in production it has recently been updated by Linn with a number of components including, in no particular order: the Ekos SE tone-arm, Keel one piece sub-chassis, Radikal DC motor & power supply, Urika phono stage and the Trampolin 2 base. These superb but costly modifications have been universally acclaimed as helping to restore the Sondek once more to the top of the podium as one of the worlds great turntables.
However, Analogue innovation is aware that many enthusiasts have arrived at Sondek ownership via a secondhand purchase, because achieving the "best" as a new purchase is simply unattainable. Our aim is to provide alternative high specification, high performance upgrade components for your Linn Sondek, enabling you to achieve a very large proportion of improvements realised by Linn upgrades at a fraction of the cost. Additionally, our customers receive a far more personal service where they will conduct their discussion etc with the manufacturer directly.
We are able to offer our upgrades at a lower cost as we do not maintain a dealer network, have a large workforce or advertise in the hi-fi press. Some say this is a disadvantage as the prospective customer cannot hear our upgrades in action prior to purchase; therefore we offer a *no obligation trial* where you may listen to the effect the Sole sub-chassis has on your LP12 at home, in your system and listening room. In our opinion these are crucial factors in determining if any upgrade is worthy, without sales pitch, dealer time pressures or other constraints. If you do not feel our sub-chassis upgrade is worthy, simply return the Sole undamaged after 60 days for a refund. We cannot be fairer than that.
